How it works, technically
- Transcription: the Whisper speech recognition model (open-source MIT licence), run on our own servers, which gives the exact timing of every word.
- Sound: dereverberation by linear prediction (WPE method), background noise reduction, voice EQ and loudness normalised to -14 LUFS following the EBU R128 standard.
- Image: face detection to centre the zooms, subtitle rendering with the libass library, H.264 encoding with FFmpeg.
- Interface: a web editor with live preview; nothing to install.
